Born in 1975 in Goa, Viraj Naik received a Bachelors degree in Printmaking from Goa University (1993-1998) and a Masters Degree (1998-2000) from Sarojini Naidu School of Fine Arts, University of Hyderabad, where he was also guest faculty from 2001-2002.

Naik has had solo shows at the Galerie Cidade, Goa (2004) and with Pundole Gallery, Mumbai (2004). His work has also been featured in group exhibitions at Lalit Kala Akademi, New delhi (2004), Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai (2002), Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai (2001) to name some. Naik has participated in Annual Exhibition AIFACS, New Delhi (2002), Monoprint Workshop at the Fullbright Foundation, USA (2001), Printmaking workshop, Hyderabad (2000) and Annual Exhibition of Art Society of India, Mumbai (1999).

The artist lives and works in Goa, India.
